The Little Acorn Project

From tiny acorns mighty oaks do grow

For every garden we create, we plant seeds of change in a local school through The Little Acorn Project.

We believe that connecting children with nature isn't just important – it's essential. When kids get their hands in soil, plant a seed, and watch something grow, they begin to understand their relationship with the natural world. They learn patience, responsibility, and the simple truth that small actions can grow into something magnificent.

Here's how it works: the recycled plant pots from your garden project get a second life in a local classroom. We bring in acorns, soil, and our knowledge, then work with the kids to plant and care for their very own oak tree. Over the weeks and months that follow, children nurture their acorns, watching them sprout and grow into saplings which can be planted at home, in the school grounds, or in community spaces, creating a lasting legacy.

But this isn't just about growing trees – it's also about growing awareness, not just of the importance of the natural world, but an awareness of themselves. This we do by teaching them a unique mindfulness method called ACORN, designed to help both children and adults connect with nature in a screen obsessed world.

Therefore every garden we build helps cultivate the next generation of nature lovers. Because if we want a greener future, we need to plant those seeds today – in the ground and in young minds.
